THE ASSEMBLY OF ISRAEL
(K'hilat Yisrael)
Vision:

To uphold Scripture, the Tanach and Brit Hadashah (Old and New
Testaments), as our primary basis of teaching and doctrine. (II Tim. 3:16-17)

To participate in worship as a key aspect of our life as a congregation, with a
worship service which is lively and reverent, where the presence of G-d is
keenly felt, incorporating Jewish, traditional and contemporary styles of
worship.

To create an environment for all people, with no division between Jew and
Gentile in the life of the congregation.   (Eph. 2:14)

To encourage the development and use of spiritual gifts, in an orderly fashion
and subject to the discernment of the elders of the congregation. (Rom. 12:6-8
and 14:40)

To reach out to the surrounding community, both Jewish and Gentile,
proclaiming the atoning work of Messiah Yeshua and ministering to the
physical needs of the community in Messiah's name with gentleness, respect,
and boldness.  (I Peter 3:15-16; Acts 4:29)

To participate in the practice and celebration of living a Jewish lifestyle (e.g.
Shabbat and Jewish holidays), reflecting G-d's ongoing covenant with Israel,
though differing levels of practice are acceptable.  (Ex. 31:15-18, Ezek.
37:27-28, Is. 56:1-8, Rom. 14)

To deliberately support the State of Israel and the greater Jewish community,
as well as believers in Yeshua throughout the world.

Mission Statement:

Our mission is to be a body of believers committed to know Yahweh and take
His Torah to the nations.  (John 17:3; Matthew 28:18-20)
Purpose:

The purpose for the existence of this Messianic congregation is to provide a
place for Jewish and Gentile believers in Yeshua to worship, grow in their
faith, experience fellowship, with people of like mind, study His Word, and to
reach out to the Jewish community with the message of hope and salvation
through their Jewish Messiah Yeshua.  We also desire to educate the church
body at large so that they might see the need to understand their Old
Testament prophetic roots.
