Many who embrace their Hebraic roots are accused of going back to the law.  Law
by the way, means instructions in the Old Testament.  We are saved by faith
through the grace of G-d.

This week's siddra contains a lot of instructions.  Chapter's 21 through 23 are part
of the legal code that was given for the good of the Israelites, who had become a
new nation chosen by G-d.

Many Christians seem to view the instructions (laws) of the Torah as something
bad.  We hear people say, "we are not longer under the law but we are under
grace."  These thoughts come from Shaul's (Paul) teachings in Galations 3:23;
5:18, Shaul believed that Gentiles were grafted into the inheritance of Abraham
becoming his sons and part of the people of G-d through their faith in Yeshua
HaMaShiach.  They did not have to earn that status by becoming Jewish.

Grace is G-d's free gift of salvation to those who believe in His Son.  His loving
instructions throughout the Scriptures show us His children how to live.  G-d's
grace and His instructions (laws) are meant to work hand in hand with each other.
He has given us His instructions so we might be more like Him, and the grace to be
able to fulfill His instructions.
